Like it's white wine cousin Cacchione the Cesanese grape is unique to the Nettuno region of Lazio near Rome. It is a rare and ancient variety culitvated by the Romans and kept alive by the Casa Divina Provvidenza vineyard who have produced wine with it since 1821.

It's rich and fruity flavour belies a lightness on the palete, a delicious wine for all seasons and dishes.
